About

I'm Oscar. I studied Computer Science at IPN and I've worked as a developer since 2022. I'm happiest following a feature all the way through: the screen, the API, the database and the deploy.

JavaScript and TypeScript are still my favorite languages, though lately I spend a lot of time in Rust and Python.

Away from code I draw and tattoo (@ezz.tattoo). For a year I also sold enamel pins (@meowpin._).

    SaaS cybersecurity platform for threat modeling and regulatory compliance.

    • Designed the diagram layout and edge-routing engine in Rust, compiled to WebAssembly: hierarchical layout and A* grid routing. It replaced the JavaScript version and has parity tests in CI.
    • Work on the data flow diagram editor: layers, trust boundaries, connection rules between actors and assets, and keyboard shortcuts.
    • Built a Slack bot from scratch in Python that lets users look up projects and threats and chat with the platform's AI copilot.

    Embedded insurance (Insurance as a Service) for Saudi Arabia. The brand became TrustMango in 2026.

    • Lead developer of the React B2B portal: policies, products, coverages, partners, users, analytics and MFA sign-in.
    • Built the claims app and its FastAPI backend: evidence uploads to Google Cloud Storage with signed URLs, SMS notifications through Twilio and role-based permissions.
    • Ran the Google Cloud infrastructure with Terraform (Cloud Run, load balancer, CDN and Cloud Armor) and cut the cost of idle services.

Health app with an API, a web client, a mobile app and an AI worker that processes queued jobs.
